‘Xenia’는 고대 그리스어로
낯선 이를 환대하는 사랑을 뜻합니다.

• 하나님은 우리를 원수였을 때에도 받아주셨고,
• 우리 또한 타인을 환대하는 삶으로 부르셨습니다.

환대는 하나님의 사랑을 세상에 보여주는 통로입니다.

왜 환대가 중요한가?

1. 하나님이 먼저 우리를 환대하셨기 때문입니다
   • "낯선 이를 대접하기를 잊지 말라. 이로써 부지중에 천사들을 대접한 이들도 있었느니라." (히브리서 13:2)
2. 환대는 하나님의 사랑을 전하는 방법입니다
   • 열린 마음과 손길은 사랑을 실천하는 구체적인 모습입니다.
3. 환대는 사람을 살리고 공동체를 세웁니다
   • 낯선 자도, 외로운 자도, 지친 자도
     환대 속에서 하나님의 품을 경험합니다.

나도 다른 이를 주님의 사랑으로 환대하게 하소서.

닫힌 마음이 아니라 열린 마음으로,
사랑으로 사람을 맞이하게 하소서.

Xenia (Hospitality)

‘Xenia’ is the ancient Greek word for
hospitality toward strangers.

• God welcomed us even when we were far from Him,
• And He calls us to live a life of open-hearted hospitality.

Hospitality is a pathway to reveal God's love to the world.

Why Is Hospitality Important?

1. Because God first welcomed us
   • "Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it." (Hebrews 13:2)
2. Hospitality is how we live out God's love
   • An open heart and open hands are visible acts of love.
3. Hospitality brings life and builds community
   • The lonely, the weary, and the stranger
     find rest and belonging through hospitality.

Lord,
as You have welcomed me,
help me to welcome others with Your love.

with an open heart, not a closed one,
with a love that reflects Yours.
